Handbrake

I'm trying to set up the allegro handbrake cables to my escort backplate, Ive no coilovers yet but when I jack up the chassis to let the axle rest on it the cables are at quite an angle to the back plate levers, does the chassis act as the limit of travel for the axle or do the coil overs reach full extension by then, if so what clearance have you got between your axle & chassis at full extension, I plan to use GTS coil overs

thanks

I fitted my handbrake cables last weekend, these also look very odd but they can't be at any other angle really, mine will be better when the car is at normal ride height as this will move the axle away from the lowest possition and it won't 'look' so bad as there won't be anything close to compare it to

Mine came out like this. It took a bit of trial and error to get bracket above the chassis and the cable to pull reasonably straight.
