zx9r revs climbing!!!

Got a problem with my Indy zx9r the revs climb all on their own sometimes at traffic lights ..etc without blipping the throttle. Checked the cable and thats all free. The revs do drop to normal tickover levels farly quickly but it can be a bit embarassing!!! - any ideas please??

Cheers, Paul

Mine did this. I found that it was the bolt that holds the pedal to the chassis. It was to tight and not letting the pedal return freely. May not be the same problem but its easy to fix if it is this.

Same problem here last Sat.Throttle pedal did not return all the way, slackened the pivot bolt less than eighth of a turn and it was fine!Had no probs. for the last 450 miles but Sat. was the warmest day to press that the car has been out..............perhaps the plastic bush in the pedal had just swollen just a fraction??????????????/
