lsd and cortina axle

hi,
I'm french and the builder (10 years ago) of a french seven replica (called MARTIN)...to see what it is. you can browse my website (http://7.77.free.fr).

I'm about to buy a lsd unit but I don't know if it is Okay for my cortina mk 4/5 rear axle.

The seller told me his lsd is suitable for Atlas axle...

do you think it will be okay ?

I think on the atlas axle the diff carrier loads from the rear.On an english axle it loads from the prop end. I don't know if this helps you any. I could email you a photo of a prop loading diff later today if you think it would help you. You could just buy it anyway and try it and see if it fits. If not it would be an easy sell on ebay for the rally boys they use atlas axles a lot.
