Best place to get wishbone parts?
Hi,
I'm designing a double wishbone set-up for my car and need to source CDS, wishbone bushings and brackets. I found lolocost but then there seem to be
a lot of -ve posts about these bushings. I need to source bushings and tube that they will push straight into. Are there better/cheaper sources out
there?
I'll probably use AVO dampers too...
Any suggestions welcomed!
Cheers,
Rich

Welcome ricola. Have you tried using the serch facility (top left hand corner of screen)? Just type in you individual querys in and set yourself some
time aside for some informative reading. Pretty much all of your questions have been discussed in detail before.

Dont just build it.....make it!

Have you tried E-mailing Merlin on this site,
he has some V-sweet oval wishbone tubing and can supply brackets to-boot prices are pretty good to.
(no gain shall be made from this plug)

I have the lolocost bush set, and am ok with it. The critisisms if any are
1) The outer sleve needs cleaning before it can be welded
2) The inserts are slightly too long and need squaring off.
3) The dimensions in their catalogue do not give the overall width dimension. Since you need this to make the brackets. . .
Apart from that, they are fitted and working... .

I got my tubing fron a hydraulics company, (asked for offcuts) got my bush tube from a length of conduit robbed from the cellar at my place of work.
got my bushes from a triumph spares dealer 95p each. bought the threaded tube from lolocost. ..set of 4 wishbonescost me less than a tenner.
