Never could resist a bargain

I saw these in my local "cheap'o store" and couldn't resist them.
Reduced from £10 to £3.99 each, so a pair for £7.98

If they were stuck to a suitable lenth of wood or box section and elastic banded
to the wheel rims, they could be a good way of measuring toe in/out, and camber,
for both the front and rear wheels. Bump steer as well.

Better than string, err, maybe?

What do you think?

ill tell you something youve got a good one there

There what I used to use to align my go kart wheels before relying on them to fly round a bend at 70mph+

never did me any harm(as in all professional go karters use them to!)

Jeez I wonder if all these pointer things that a million kids bought in Ibiza could be used for the same thing.
Wish I'd let mines buy a couple now. (Note to self don't be such a party pooper in future)

the cheaper pen pointer things have a bit of an inbuilt problem
the laser assembly isnt glued in accuratly to the pen body, so would need mounting somehow to get an accurate datum

i wanted to use one for laser sighting, but was a mile out

I used one of those very cheap laser pointers held onto my front stub axel with a hair elastic to measure bump steer on my front end which worked a treat . it ddi not matter that it was not that precise as long as it was not moving in relation to the upright. any way most usefull little toy .

Best wishes IAIN

Just got me one of these in the local Spar shop! (the one attached to the garage in Capel St Mary, for those nearby). Also £3.99.

Opened it up, took out the little plastic prism and now I have a bright laser pointer in a convenient package.

Might get me another one!

Got one of these too - cheap with any fuel purchase. They are great for producing a straight line but difficult to make sure the line is level.
