Escort Mk2 rack track rod ends
I know I will have to make/buy some extensions for the rack so that I have sufficient threads for the track rod ends to go onto to, am I best to go
for escort mk 2 track rod ends or sierra ones which I know will fit the taper on my uprights, is there any difference between the two?
Cheers
Rich

AFAIK the tapers on both TREs are the same.
No doubt someone will come along and tell me I am wrong though!
The sierra ones are offset, the escort ones are straight. I also think the sierra ones are longer...

By strange coincidence I am in the same boat.
I fitted the QR rack and find that about 20 mm of track rod is going inside the track rods ends. Comparing with the old rack, the passenger track rod
was extended!! (my nose cone has been widened so I must have a wider front end.)
The cheapest solution would be to find a track rod end with longer shnk, unlikely.
... but in Rally Design catalogue they sell
Steering rack extension (to suit wide track) so this sounds like what I need; not too bad for £ 24.50 a pair - hopefully these fit by screwing on and
not welding.
Anyone know any thing more about these?
