How much to pay for Sierra running gear

Hello.

Just priced up the following from a company that sells donor car bits.

open diff
half shafts
rear hubs (disc) with calipers
front hubs with calipers

a smidge over 300 quid.

Seems a bit pricey for old sierra bits??

Any opinions on this??

Ed.

depends if reconditioned or not. In an 'off the car' condition, it should be around £40-50. Less if joe bloggs wanted rid of them, as they arent really sort after parts.

Wallet still firmly in pocket!! I am also in America until April, so unable to buy anything anyway.

So the concensus is that 300 squid is a lot for these bits??

Presumably going and fragging them off a sierra in a scrap yard would be cheaper?!?

£100 would be a fair price unless it was cleaned painted and reconned.

Prices are way high you can get a complete sierra with T&T off the sierra owners club forum for that price.
www.fordsierraclub.co.uk

The site is open to all they even have a kit car owners section i am a member on there so are some from this forum

I am building a f27 with sierra bits and breaking a 4x4 2.0 dohc estate in the next two weeks . I am keeping the back end for myself and a few other bits.

however I have spare standard diffs drive shafts both types rear hubs front hubs both types brake drums and calipers also a 7.5 lsd diff spare

we all have loads of bits and a brilliant postal service so just ask on there just good open help advice and fun just join up ask and find out .

As for my stuff just u2u me and maybe we can do a good deal

I went to 2 scrap yards one was really quite well sorted, they racked the cars on huge stands and took them off with forklifts they wanted £150 and i wasnt allowed to take the bits off myself.
The other was a typical overgrown scrappers which wanted 50 quid for the lot and that included the steering rack and shaft.
