I read an article in Which Kit recommended Kitfit near Newark (http://www.kitfit.co.uk). They sell recon calipers for £82 outright purchase.
I don't know what they are like apart from the article.

Because rear cali's are hard to find on sierra's,try your local scrappy for MK3 granadas/scorpios as they seem to be in abundance.

iv already planned a trip to the scrappy for this weekend for a new half shaft and hub carrier assembly and i need a front caliper and maybe a frunt
strut as one of my bolts that holds the suspension strut is stuck as the head came off 
looks like its gonna be expensive

Hi,
I have a pair of reconditioned Sierra calipers that I bought from Kit Fit in August. In the end I did not fit them because I went for lighter 4pot
calipers. They cost me £115 for the pair (including carriers) and they are the ones for the larger (260mm) vented front disc.
You can have them for £75, I also have the vented discs to match £100 all in.

Yes - the Granada Scorpio rear calipers are the same as disc-braked Sierras except Cosworth, though.

trouble is they are out of stock of these parts most of the time,as well as that they are not vented discs and wide calipers.
Although i dont suppose it makes much difference with our little cars.

I sorry or am I missing the point of this thread.
Why don't you by a pair of calipers from a scrape dealer and then buy a seal overhaul kit from a motor factor. Then, following instruction change the
seals. With the seals out the caliper can be power wire brushed and painted clead up and re-assembled. Can be done in about a hour. Ok so the paint
need time to dry but say yourself £60-80 pounds.
By heating the bleed nipple before removeing will ofter stop it braking. similar to the flexi hose.

Thanks for the advice, tried my local auto parts store £33.10 inc vat per caliper and £10.11 inc vat per disc (vented non abs) , calipers are on
exchange basis, can anyone beat that !!

Is that just the fronts or the rears as well?
What is this motor factor and where are they?, cos i need to find some but cant find any that cheep.

that must be for the fronts only . rears will cost at least twice that because of the handbrake bit, a real pain apparentley.

That price is good anyway for front calipers,where are the factors you use ?
Viper is right about rear cali's,they can be expensive. The repair kit from FORDS is £56+VAT and you cant buy the seals seperate.

A Comapny called DINGBRO in Dundee sells the Seals seperatly. But unless you've got a trade account you will have a job dealing with them They stick
by their rule of "Strictley Trade Only"

We bought a seal set for front calipers from the local partico for £20-00. For 240dia unvented front discs they are lucas girling part ref: SP8896.
Had lots of difficulty fitting piston back in though, have only done one, am now thinking would of been better buying new calipers, can get exchange
units for £40-00 a side. mmmmm!

i had a set of calipers that were seized solid,so just locked them in the vice heated them up untill near melting point and then used compressed air
to blow the pistons out,tuck the seals out and cleaned out the crap(a spoke with a 90 degree ang at the end and ground a sharp flat point seems to do
the trick),put a new piston and seal kit in greased them up using shinetsu grease and slapped them in,not a problem would not pay any one else to do
it ....a hot spanner is a mans best friend
