Help!!!!

Right, fitted my axle yesterday(mk2 escort 48" between backplates), and with the wheels on i will only have approx 5mm clearance between the inner edge of the tyre, and the trailing arm bolt heads(the ones that hold the front of the arms to the chassis).

have i done something wrong?

is this acceptable?

Cheers
Ray

My 17s are not that great an offset and rubbed on these bolts. I used spacers to move them out.

the steel wheels i have for running the chassis around on are 25mm offset(peugeot wheels), but i ihave fitted a 6mm spacer which if i'm right is the same as 19mm offset(which the new wheels will be)
