Upright and Diff Donors for +442 Chassis

Hello
I am in australia and have just started to build a Mcsorley +442 Chassis but am now looking into which uprights and diff would best suit.

As the Mcsorley is more common in the UK i am interested in seeing what others have used for the wider chassis.

All advice greatly appreciated
Thanks
Joel

where in Oz are you?
I think your going to struggle a bit there to find suitable parts.
I believe the most common donor is the mr2.
There is an exclusively Australian locost group on the yahoo sites that you might want to look at HERE You will certainly get some good advice on here but with the constraints imposed on you guys regarding the ADR's you will probably need some specific advice from builders in your own area.
Have you had your chassis stress tested yet?

I'd be interested to hear how you got on.

Mitsubishi L300 van or Mazda E2000 van have usable uprights and +100 axle.

Cortina for uprights and +100 axle, standard Escort rack is ideal width iirc.

Early Commodore axle may work, with Gemini uprights and brake conversion.

Check out locost_oz at yahoo groups.
