Steering setup!

Can some one show me a pic of how the steering wheel for a sierra goes onto the colom because mines a bit wobbly and some thing must be up!!!?

The hole in the Sierra wheel is tapered so it needs to be locked down tight with the nut.

I think the notch is to indicate the position of the wheel in relation to the column, It can only go on in one position, there is a notch on the inside of the wheel hub that line up. If you want to adjust the wheel position in relation to the rack you have to do it an the link end.

The notch in the wheel hub locates on the tab on the plastic indicator cancelling ring at the 9 o'clock position.
The top section of the shaft is sprung and pulls up against the spring in its housing. If you have done up the lower joints loosen off the bolts that hold the triangular section to the lower part of the column that joins to the rack. The upper part of the column will then be free to pull up and the wheel will locate firmly. Then do up the lower bolts again!
