Handbrake cables

A quick question that I hope someone will assist me with ....Whats the part number and where do people get there Handbrake cables from?

Seen Allegro cables listed on Speedy spares but called (front) and listed at £2.95 which seems too cheap.

Many thanks

Andrew

I got mine from a local motor factors (Champion Motor Spares on Leeds Rd) they had one in stock but the other they had to send for (had it the following day), they both cost around £8 each.

Handbrake cables

On my Locost-clone with Cortina live-axle I used fiesta mk2 cables. I reversed the brake base-plates on the axle so the cables exit to the rear. The handbrake lever inside the drum was also reversed on the brake shoes. The cables are routed over the diff-housing to a cortina handbrake-lever

There are 3 parts to the Allegro cable afaik, one from the handbrake to a 'bar' where the other 2 attach and lead to the back brakes.

I have bought the 2 rear ones and am fitting them tomorrow with any luck.
