Studs too short? Possible solution

I am a bit ashamed to admit, but I have been helping a mate restore a Chevrolet Monte Carlo (1978), and got some great wheels for him off ebay. When fitting the wheels, I noticed that the wheel studs were too short, a quick call to Ramsey American, and was recommended Northants Wheels for special wheel bolts. They have special shoulders which fit inside the stud hole and give another 5 turns which will cure most problems.

Incidently, if any stateside builders want an all in one donor, the Monte is an ideal candidate, it is basically a Mk5 Cortina on steroids, you could use everything except the steering box and arms (use a suitable rack and pinion from another car!)

Good information !
its a pity we haven't got a special section for news like this, as unfortunately this will probably be lost in the annuls of history in the forum
