Metal Cowl Over Cortina Front Hubs
I have managed to get hold of a pair of the elusive Cortina front hubs. The brake disk is partially covered with a round sheet metal shroud as part
of the original setup. My question is how can this shroud be removed. There are no obvious fixing points. Will I have to remove hub/bearing
assembly to get to fixings. If yes is it straight forward or should I get hold of a Cortina Haynes manual.
Hope someone can help.

John,
You will have to remove the hub assembly as the disc cover is held on by three M8 bolts. most people use these holes to mount the front wing
stays.
A haynes would be advantageous when it comes to rebuilding the hubs, as it contains all the needed torque figures.
All the best Dan.
