3.14 diff

What models was the 3.14 7" diff out of?

And was it really made outta rocking horse sh1t?

Passed a sierra diesel in France - seem to remember that kit cars aren't allowed over there.

Does that mean there are scrap yards over there, with them burried under piles of renaults and peugeots

Theres a 3.14 on ebay, off a 2.3, for £150 and still 3 days left. Postage from france or even a trip would be cheaper?

Just a thought.

the one you saw on ebay is mine, its from a 2.3 diesel, but it is very rare to get one out of that car, as they usually have 3.38's. i didnt know france was big on sierra's, but im sure if they are and you want over for a scavenge, you could find one in a sierra of some kind..... they are verryvery rare, and mine is the first one ive seen come up for sale in a long time. if you do go to france and are lucky, tell me as ill do the same!!!
ps. they are not only found in diesels, some people have got them from 2litre petrol sierras etc etc. it seems with the later cars they seemed to just chuck in what ever diff they had lying about....

Hope my post didn't seem like I was having a go at your price or tryna put people off your sale. All boils down to basic economics - supply and demand

i started it off at £30, i honestly didnt know how much it'd go for so its now nothing to do with me, the price is with the bidders!!

Somebody somewhere probably had a shed load of these and chucked 'em out to make room for shoe boxes full of white fivers - D'op!

Someone here commented, that your diff is push in? Don't know what I'm looking for (or onabout!).

Terminologies seem to be "push in" or "bolt on"

Dumb question.....Is "bolt on" - refering to the 8 bolts on the ??Drive Flange??

Just tryna get my terminologies right
