Old MkII Escort Wheels

I know this has been covered before but I can't find the answer I'm looking for.
Basically does the Peugot wheel with ET18 fit the Escorts hubs OK? Is the PCD the same. The reason I ask is because Halfords have a deal on today, 4x 7x15 alloys with 195/50/15's for £286.66. Bargain.
Any help here would be much appreciated.
Steve

Check the big hole in the centre of the wheel. I have heard of people having trouble fitting them to ford axles because the peugeot centres are smaller by about 4mm. A spacer would cure it.

yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

The ford wheels are 4 1/4" PCD and the peugeot are 108mm, but the difference is bugger all. The centre holes of the ford are 2 1/2" against 65mm, a difference of 1.5mm - it may seen small but it means that the pug wheels would be reliant on the bolts only with no support from the centre boss, so centring the wheel is very hit and miss. Escorts have an ET19 so no probs with the froggy wheels here.
