English axle propshaft bolts

I have English axle - mk2 esort - and the prop shaft flange it bolted to the diff flange using 4 bolts - the diff flange is threaded for this.

Is this how it should be?

I was expecting a bolt/nut type arrangement? (Land rover-esque)

Is it possible that the bolts should have been screwed into the diff flange, the prop flange going over the bolts with nuts to hold it all in place?

It's just 4 bolts into the diff flange - nothing else required.

Loctite or other thread-lock compound is strongly recommended, just in case.

Yes on both types of flange - some MK2 used MK1 style small flanges with 5/16" UNF threads.
