Confused??De Dion

I almost daren't ask considering the number of posts I just trawled through but here goes. I'm considering using the De Dion. (Does everyone just buy them from GTS? Will I need everything on the list?) Anyhow, I think I'm right in saying this'll fit the GTS plans as laid out but my question is will I have to modify my drive shafts? Confused? I have a 1.62 Sierra diff and driveshafts of a XR4i. Thanks in advance.

No you wont have to alter the driveshafts,
The GTS dedion is seirra track width so as long as your using sierra running gear you'll be ok.
The only thing to figure in to your plans is that the track width is wider than book (+4 inch iirc) which means you'll need wider arches to accomodate OR you build a +4 chassis and use normal arches. The main differeance other than having a larger cockpit is mostly cosmetic/engine bay, some people just dont like the narrow body/wide track width look.

Personally i have gone for a std width chassis with wider arches. But now ive sat in the thing, should of gone for +4

Yep, thats 3.62 sorry Phelpsa(I didn't go to college as you can see! Well done by the way) Thanks again for your advice Gav, invaluable. I've been busy this week building fences but would still like to have a butchers at your kit time permitting ta. So do I need to buy the axle, rod thing with threaded thing basically everything on the list? (Terminology!)

To get a working rear end for a dedion setup you need the following:
De Deion Axle
Trailing arms 4 off
Pan hard rod with 1/2 inch unf rod end (The rod thingy )

If your still wanting to build the actual chassis yourself id buy the laser cut brackets for the pickup points too, far eaiser than making your own. you'll also need to get the polybushes etc.

As i said you more than welcome, just gimme a shout on u2u when you wanna come up and ill make sure im in and ill send you some directions.
