Clamping handbrake cable
I have cut the sierra handbrake cable and now need to reclamp it.
Any pointers to a suitable clamp which will be SVA suitable.
I have seen this one?

Use Bulldog clips (x4) two on each side.
Get them from any motor factors. I picked mine up from mac1.

Sorry no nipples
Cable cut half way to get it through to lever (GTS chassis), cable looped around standard sierra half moon thingy.
Just needs to be clamped on one side.
I thought bulldog clips were for stationery , I am sure you mean something else !

You need "U" clamps from a boat chandlers. Used for the very purpose of connecting 2 wire ropes.
These Click
Here
Or you could make some like mine

I just drilled a hole through a short M12 bolt and used that as a clamp - an idea copied from somebody else on here but I can't remember who.
It's boxed in anyway so no SVA questions.

Bloody SVA made me take off tunnel cover to inspect mine. I used cable clamps as used for clamping wire ropes. 2 on each side. Gosforth failed them. I
had to change to nipple ended cables. Since then there has been investigation by SVA and clamps now OK as far as i know. Its worth phoning your local
centre up. I used the method advised by Mac#1 which passed loads of times at Nottingham. I think Gosforth were just being picky at the time. Im sure
clamps are used by trailer manufacturers for their main cable operated brakes.
