Shocker Lengths

Okay I've been searching but can't reall find anything, can't sem to word it right I think. What I'm after is the length of the shockers I need for standard chassis with GTS front bones and De Dion. Or how do I figure out what I need?

set your chassis up at the desired ride height, then measure the distance bewteen the shocker mounting bolt holes, get shocks that range approx 1- 2" either side of that figure.

Ah right. Thought there was something more complicated to it than that.
Thanks

shocks usually are specified by their open length, and as ray says, you want about 4 inches of travel at the wheel (3" on the shock will give 4 at the wheel due to the angles). Hence if the length is 10.5" when the bones are level, get shocks that are 12" open.

Std GTS shocker lengths are:

Front: 12" open, 11.25" ride height and 10" closed

Rear: 11.5" open, 10.5" ride height and 8.5" closed
