When I grow up...

... I'm gonna be a gynaecologist

In the meantime I've been practicising:
speedo panel
speedo panel

Small panel cut out behind battery to gain access to speedo (cable snapped at speedo head!) - after some fiddling, managed to undo the nuts and the speedo is out.

Eventualy will have a DC motor to drive the speedo to compensate for speedo drive/speedo mistmatch and be programmable for different wheels sizes.

more like £ 120 minimum-ish be interested where you can get one for that much.

Anyway, it will be an excuse to use a PIC.... at last.

and whilst I am still here, anyone know what speedo cable I should use - the speedo head has an 18 mm threaded part that the cable must screw onto - I take it that is not a Ford fitting? (but of not Ford cable, it won't fit in the gearbox).

Talk to http://www.speedycables.co.uk/ who will make whatever length of cable with whatever end fittings you want for about the same price as a main dealer will supply a standard one.

no, it is very expensive tank from Satanic Tweaks. A kit kat tine, I;ve eatne them all so don't ask, with a drain tap in the bottom; two pipe soldered to the top for the inlet and mini air filter. The only not perfectthing is the insulation tape to hold the lid on down - still working on how to address that.

nice 'n' locost!
