Locost Co-operative

Hi all,

It has occured to me that as there are lots of little Locost specialists out there with stuff to offer, like me, that we might benefit each other and the Locost community by getting together.

I have no desire to make fuel tanks for nothing but agro, but, if there is someone out there making them and happy to make £45 then fair play, lets get together and add all these parts on one website to form a one stop shop for all Locost builders to get the best deal.

My website includes all my bits and i'm happy to add other peoples products for no profit, so long as i make 5% to cover the charges i get for credit card transactions then i think it benefits everyone.

So this is a call to all the little guys who might have something to offer. Contact me off list darren@gtstuning.co.uk

Kind regards,

Darren

help

If anyone else is interested (preferebly a larg(ish) number of you) i would be willing to develop a site for this co-op scheme to be run.. Personaly i think it's a great idea..

Also just as a side-line.. has this group ever thougth of getting together with a scrap dealer or metal merchant who would be willing to do a "bulk" order so that a saving could be made for each member of the board.. Just an idea..

Sounds like a good idea to me. With regard to the scrap dealer bulk purchase idea, I'm not sure it would really work - most people get the larger stuff from a single donor and buy lots of smaller bits from scrappys, which will all be different, and won't justify the postage.

If this idea progresses, and you want to put together a website for it, I may be able to help out with hosting. I have my own hosting "business" (I say "business" because I keep hosting people for free )

I think it's a good idea.

I'm sure PTM and a few others would be up for somewhere to advertise their products!

Sorry to reply so late to all this. I've been away to New York on business and come back to catch up.

I'm happy to host the things on my site which seems to get several hundred hits per week, all i need really is people who have stuff they want to advertise on it.

Kind regards,

Darren
