Spherical Rod End Life

I have run SRE`s on my road vehicles for years and it depends on construction, quality and size.

The bigger they are the longer they will last. Reinforced PTFE liners will last longest and metal on metal will rattle after a short time (months)

I had 1/2" x 1/2" Silverlines covered with boots filled with silicon grease on a Panhard rod and after at least 20,000 everyday road and competition miles they were still OK.

My latest car has open spherical bearings on the wishbones and after 2000 miles they are still like new, but they are high quality and it gets summer use only.
