Where can I get one of these?

I cannot get the self adjuster spring for the rear brakes fitted to my Capri axle.

A mate at Ford traced the part number through several supercessions, but it is now not available through Ford.

Apparently it is the same as the ones fitted to the Mk2 Escort, but Capri's and Escorts do not figure in my local scrapyards.

Has anyone got an aftermarket supplier, or a source of old Ford stock?

Such a silly little thing to need but I cannot find one anywhere!!

Mark,

I may have one, but as all my stuff is 15 miles or so away, I can't be sure. I'll let you know over the next day or two.

Regards, Ian.

or if in the unlikely event that the above two routes fail, get your self a 'Classic Ford' magazine, and scan the traders ads.

On a similar vein, does anyone know if the rubber boots that cover that bars exit from the rear brake system 'plate' are available. Mine are as cruddy and brittle as hell.
