Front bottom wishbone
I have just completed my chassis build and now ready to move onto fabricating suspension components.
When I look at Ron's plans for the bottom wishbone, there doesn't appear to be much "meat", i.e. contact area and weld between
the balljoint mounting plate and the tubes. When you actually make them according to the book are they strong?
Does anybody have any pictures and/or drawings to help me with the bottom wishbone in particular?
Thanks for any help!

Just to put your mind at rest, there have been no reports of failiures (as I know of). But, if you dont feel they are strong enough, strengthen them!
Have a look through the photo archives, there are plenty of variations on a theme.

Dont just build it.....make it!

Funnily enough, I finished my lower bones today - all bar a quick grind around and welding on the shock mounts. I did a little variation on the theme
because I didn't like the little window things either side of the balljoint plate. Pictures speak better than words...
