Escort Steering Column / Boss...
Hi,
This is driving me mad... partly because I'm 2 hours away from the car and can't remember what bits look like!
I've got a removable boss at the moment, but have gathered I won't get through SVA with this, so I'm planning to remove it and fit a
collapsible one, then swap over later...
The question is, where do I find a collapsible boss for an Escort steering column. I thought it would've been easy but can't seem to see one
anywhere! Someone must have had the same problem, please help before I go mad
This is the bit I want it to fit onto...
column end
Cheers,
Stu

That doesn't look like a Mk 2 column...Think the Mk 3 had a hexagonal shaft, though....

Escort Steering Column
I have an Escort steering column and wheel assembly, C/W lock and key, from a 1992 car.
Please let me know if this is what you are after.

Mk 4/5, riiiiiiiiiight. no idea how that got there then! Thanks for the info.
Mal, do you have any pictures of this? I'd be interested in the boss and possibly the wheel if they will fit the column?
Thanks,
Stu
