Desert Storm Coolant
Just got some military grade coolant for my car, it boils at 180 degrees C and doesnt require a pressurised cooling system... As used in Tanks and
Hummers in desert storm!
The army claim it will cool a hummer with a fan/waterpump failure without boiling!
Its not cheap at £25 a litre, but thankfully I didnt have to pay..
(there isnt a smiley for :hot: )

I would be very careful with that stuff... With those specs it is likely to be nasty nasty. I wouldn't let it anywhere near your skin. I have no
doubt all sorts of normally banned substances were put out to test during desert storm - unfortunate for our boys.
Other than that it would be ideal for the K series boys to stop head gasket failure.

Yup its not good on the skin, so gloves worn when bleeding..

I'm not sure the head will like being raised to such a high temperature, one good thing about using water is that the steam is the last resort
warning - any higher than that and the rest of the engine is likely to be damaged anyway.
I guess it might be useful if the enemy hole your radiator and then chase you with their tanks, will allow you to escape and get back to base ready to
replace the engine, but alive.
Is there much call for that in Malta Do you want to escape the mother-in-law perhaps ?

180 isnt a problem for a motor, the problem is that once the engine goes over around 110, all the water boils and the metal reaches MUCH higher than
180 degrees...
If the enemy holes the rad, the coolant will be gone!
What is useful is that this coolant will give me a margin when stuck in traffic in Nicosia in the summer.. 42 degrees in the shade, shed loads hotter
than that in the sun...
My mechanic friend runs it in his 800bhp skyline, and even when he thru a fanbelt he got home with no engine damage!
Wouldnt use it in UK, weather doesnt warrant it, but here, its a worthwhile investment...
