diff drive shaft bearing removal

theres not a lot of play in the bearing but if its simple i may as well change it.
but how do i get it out (the bearing i mean) ls diff with lobo joints .i've split the joint but can't find out how to get the out put from the dif off is it just a tight splined fit or do i have to split the diff
any links to websites on overhauling ford diffs would be appreciated

If you take the back off you will find the shafts are held in by circlips.

Some of them just push in, others are held with circlips. It's a pig of a job to get the circlips off so if you've got that type I wouldn't bother!!

on the side of the diff there is a large alloy ring with teeth on its outside edge, its locked with a plate, unscrew said ring and bearing will come out,you need to shim it up afterwards so a specialist or new diff is probly best option.
