Ford Scorpio Rear axle
anyone know if the rear diff, drive shafts and hubs from a 4 stud ford Scorpio are the same as the sierra ones?
could these be used instead of sierra ones?

The Granada/Scorpio ones are usually 9.5" rather than 9" diffs, same as the Cosworth ones, and the shafts are slightly longer to
accomodate the increased width over a Sierra. The Viento chassis has the mounts wide enough to fit a 9.5" diff, I've packed it out with
washers as I have an XR4x4 unit which is only the 9", but I seem to recall the Velocity you are building (assuming your profile is correct) has
the 9".
However, all this is based on a 5 stud Scorpio - I've never seen a 4 stud one. Was it a Ford 'parts bin' special? If so, you may
be lucky.

the later bug eye scorpios are 4 stud - share the same brakes at the front as a mondeo, and the same brakes as the sierra at the rear ( possibly 273mm
discs ).
Yea, I have 2 velocities, one finished which we did make using the 7.5inch dif ( we had to adapt the passenger side front dif fmount with a hammer ) ,
the new build will prob also use a 7.5" dif.
