x-flow alternator

need to buy a new alternator for my car as old one is knackered anyone any ideas on what is suitable for the 1.3 x-flow

these look like generic Lucas, the same as was fitted to a plethora of British cars in 70s/80s.

You can buy a new Series Land Rover, from Paddock Spares (website not runnint) for about £ 25.

They are handed but you can tkae hte 3 long screws out and turn the casing so it fit on either side of the engine.

LUCAS 16,17, or best of all an 18ACR.
Careful when buying one, they are sided, ie left or right.

as I said previously, handedness should nto be a concern as you can turn the two halves to align whihcever way you want.
