handbrake cable

ever had this before? bought the handbrake cable from tiger and the ball at the end of the cable doesnt fit through my shoe lever?

is this okay? can I just sand down the ball on the cable?

Can u not drill the hole out on the arm?? If u sand the ball it will make it weak.

or maybe drill out the hole in the lever? then the ball will still be way big enough to hold onto the back of the slot

suppose, just wanted to know whether to fiddle with the ball or the lever. thanks, i'll try drilling through the lever and let you know!! cheers
