Has anyone used Bigg Red recon calipers?

I've decided to follow good advice from mookaloid and NS Dev in this thread and go for properly recon'ed calipers rather than doing it myself.

The prices charged by Bigg Red make diy recon of the siezed calipers from my donor mini (all 4 pistons - impressive) a false economy.

So has anyone had recon calipers from them? (http://www.biggred.co.uk)
Is the funky 'aerospace spec coating' worth the extra £40 for the pair over the paint finish for someone who doesn't give a toss over the colour?

Those Bigg Red things look very impressive - I guess you get what you pay for with the finish

yes, used them several times now, top service and if you check there site carefully I think you will find that are an old quite well trusted company with a new name (I Think!) they also do calipers in standard finishes rather than the boy racer red etc. all mine came in standard black.

Thanks for that, always good to hear positive feedback.
The finishes they do are:

aerospace polymer coating in bright red, racing green, mid blue, black (£99 a pair for mini calipers)

silver or gold electroplate (£75 the pair)

black HT paint (£59 the pair)

the polymer is going to have to be good to overcome SWMBO
