The right master cylinder

I remember a while back we had a thread about Sierra master cylinders, there was a right one and a wrong one, can anyone tell me how to tell the two apart? - I cannot find the thread!

Hi Mark,

The generally preferred Sierra mcyl is the old 22.2mm dia., cast-iron version. There was a later, steel-tube bodied version, which will work, but could be more awkward to install.
Other, beefier Sierra variants used the Teves integrated ABS system, similar to the Scorpio. Other contributors report that this in not recommended.
Lol

Work-in-Progress: Changed to Zetec + T9. Still trying!!

I seem to have a steel tubed 22.2mm cylinder, Fitting it has been one of the easiest part of the whole build so far, I just modified the pedal spacing, adjusted the angle of the U section of the clutch pedal and moved the clutch cable tube
