De Dion Rear Axle Setup??

Hi Folks,

I have a De Dion axle for the rear setup as in the picture although im not sure as to what hubs or driveshafts I need and how it all fits together. So far, I have a Sierra LSD for bolt in shafts which I shall use with it but no drivehafts or hubs as I don't know what I need. If anyone knows then let me know which parts I need to get for it,

Cheers,

You might have problems using the bolt in driveshafts as they are a fair bit bigger than the push in ones and won't fit most dedions, but if you measure the diameter of the hub tube it will need to be larger than 100mm internal diameter for them to fit, otherwise either try and find a push in diff or attempt to join push in shafts to bolt type flanges (it has been done b4)

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for that, I have a much better idea now. The only thing is that my diff is for bolt in shafts meant for disc brakes i think so will these shafts still work or do they have to be the push in ones for the drum brakes?

So, anyhow, I need to get standard sierra hubs and driveshafts from an early mark. Do you know what marks or age?

Cheers,

Matt

GTS sell them, and are the only manufacturer that has a solely de dion based car as far as I know.

thanks. MK are not doing them anymore and I can't get through to GTS. I have tried the main line number and left several messages and sent emails but no reply. Does anyone know how to get hold of them?
