I don't think there's a minimum size, but there is a max length of 44 ft, IIRC. I don't about width, or height.

Why how big do you want to make yours?
There must be a width restriction because of the size of our roads. i would think its around 3 metres because thats what most HGV's are.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Well, mini's are allowed, so something the same size is fine! Hell,t hey can make the GWizz, which is tiny, so just about anything should be
fine!

The G-Wiz is a quadricycle because it weighs less than 400kg and has less than 15kW of power.
I don't know of any reason why you couldn't make something smaller than a smart and register it for the road. So long as it meets SVA
rules you're OK.

Ah, I'd forgotten about the low power making it not-a-car!

Sounds intresting, how are you intending to package the drive train on an 80in wheelbase?

I am sure it is possible - Series 1 land rovers had 80 inch wheelbase. (well, that is what the model was referred to, let's wait for a LR
spotter to tell us the actual wheebase was )

Things like Mini's and Landrovers and Smarts can get awat with very short wheelbases becuase everything between the wheels is very uprifht. The
car in the concept sketch on the previous page is very low, so the passengers and mechanicals are more spread out.
For that sort of car, have a close look at the Smart Roadster and see if you can improve on the packaging.
I'm not saying you can't do it, but I was suprised at how much space I had to allow for people/engine/gearbox/fuel tank/diff etc. when I
was designing my chassis.
