Cortina brake calipers
(also posted on TOL - apologies to dual readers!)
I think I'm going nuts...
Over a year ago I bought a pair of reconditioned Cortina brake calipers. Now that I'm ready to connect them up I realise that I appear to have 2
right-hand units! Either that, or they are OK and I don't understand how they fit...
On the right-hand side the connector and bleed valve are on the top, as I would expect. On the left these are on the underside of the unit.
If these are to be connected up as originally intended, with a short length of brake pipe to a flexible hose fixing bracket, then it doesn't seem to
matter. If I want to fit fancy braided flexibles directly to the calipers then I have a problem.
Can anyone enlighten me?
cheers,

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!
