Track Rod Ends/Balljoints

Which ends/balljoint should i be using to connect an Escort Rack to a Sierra Hub ??

I've tried escort trackrod end, but it's too small to fit the hub

I've tried sierra trackrod end, but the thread isn't the same....

So whats the answer please people, cos i can't seem to find it anywhere on here

Thanks

maybe make an extension like thing that screws onto the escort size thread and has sierra size thread at the other end. Did u need an extension as well or was it previously the correct length?

No extension is needed.... it's a standard rack.....

I know it's been done, just wish the person knew what balljoints had been used

Someone must know what to use !

It has to be a Mk2 Escort rack or you will not have the metric track rod ends you need to suit the hubs.

yours, Pete.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Get your money out. You should get an exchange rack for a decent price.

have you tried a set of cortina track rod ends ? I know later (mk4 and 5) are metric M14 2.0 threads maybe earlier ones are not ?

That said an exchange rack will only set you back £30 ish

The older cortina is the same size as the escort ones..... hence why escort ones fit cortina hubs, but alas i have sierra hubs

Cheers Northy, i'll have a look, if it's goign to be cheaper.........
