Widest Road legal 13" Tyres?
Inherited a set of huuuuuuge rims - 9" at the front and 11" at the back!!!!!!
Not sure if I can use them as I'm struggling to find road legal rubber to fit (there's a surprise!).
Anyone have any idea's - it's a 13" rim.

i've got 11" wide 15" rims on the pickup. i think the tyres on them came from america...

Kumho used to do a 215 x 13, which might stretch to 11" at a push. 205's will fit a 9" rim.

Kuhmo do a 235/45/13 V70a Ecsta but tyre data says it's only safe up to a 9" wide wheel
Recommended sizes for an 11" wheel start at 275!

Its not uncommon for the mk1 escort chaps to have wheels this wide, god only knows what tyres they use though!

I believe they have a lot of that in the USA. Not sure if it's wide enough. Avon has 245 wide. Maybe try some more US based tires/sites?

yeah, theres importing and whatever, but i guess these things are cheaper there, it might end up being cheaper than buying tyres that size here...

Ask your local tyre place what they suggest: they can often find things you wouldn't think available. I have 13" X 8" rims, and I
ended up with Sumitomo HTR200 tyres CHEAP brand new (the widest I could find were 215/50/13). They are not supposed to be the greatest, but
they'll do. All the others were "DOT legal"racing slicks basically (Kumho, Hoosier et al).
Why can't you put narrower rims + narrow tyres (Sierra??) on for your SVA/MOT or whatever it is you have to do there (borrow them off somebody?)
Afterwards you can put used Formula 3 tyres on later - those are dirt cheap. If you're always moving, it's tough for the cops to see your
tyres!!!

You may end up with the euro stylee look where the sidewall tapers in to the tread.
You want at least 245s on 11 inch

On TV they bought some slicks and cut the tread in the tyres themselves. Not sure how legal this here in the UK.

doubt its legal at all, racing slicks aren't going to have the DOT or euro legal compliance thingy on them.

Defo not road legal, but a flap wheel soon removes the 'Not for Road Use' lettering. The car it's intended for has already passed
SVA.

Not saying your wrong, and with low profiles i would agree, but the rules seem to change with 13" rims. I have 8.5" rims, and 205
888's look perfectly at home .
