wheel nut/stud threads

Silly question, but searches yield no useful results for me (prepares to be corrected)

Are cortina and sierra wheel nut/stud threads the same? I don't have any wheel nuts with my cortina uprights, but do have some sierra ones. They seemed awkward to fit on when i tried, but might just be dirty or something.

I'm using some minator wheels off a caterham, looks like they require the tapered end type wheel nuts, anyone confirm either/or of the above?

I spoke to rally design who said 12x1.5mm thread, is this the right one?

thanks,

Ned.

I got the same studs from Ral des for my fronts. They fir the Mondeo nuts i have if thats any help.

The mondeo nuts also fit my cortina rear studs too.

They have the conical washer fixed to the nut to allow correct centering too.

Dont buy them from ford, i dropped one down a drain and it cost me £5.00 odd for a new one!
