U joints - again

someone can tell me why Land Rovers have the front prop shaft with the U-joints out of phase, not paralel one to another, but with a 'strange' angle?

Probably due to the huge amount of axle articulation.

Quite common on most 4X4's

which land rover?

series should be in phase; I belive the defenders are "out" by a bit, done to stop vibrations

I mean a Defender 110 TD5. the prop is mounted on its original position.
