Pedal feel

Take a look at this -- a lot of builders don't realise how much pedal feel and stopping power is robbed by it.
It dosen't just affect the MGF -- a lot of mainstream cars and kit cars suffer from it.
I had a Lotus Plus2S that had lousy brakes until I braced the master cylinder.

Test your build by getting a mate to pump the pedal hard on-off--on-off-onoff-on-off while you feel he master cyilnder for movement.

More details details here http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/common_problems/brake_servo.htm

People have failed SVA for less movement than that!

What you are showing is bulkhead flex.
Most 7's have small footwells and are welded alround, so hopefully this is quite rare on here!

Actually I suspect it's not uncommon having seen plenty of master cylinders mounted in the footwell with little bracing.
