How do the sierra REAR brakes fit together? :)
oops, I mixed up the caliper carriers and the calipers they belong with. On inspection they seem almost identical, but one has the code CN7 stamped
into it, and the other CN3. The location of the stamp is shown below.
Can anyone tell me which one goes with which?

Hello again mate,
the codes you mention "CN7" and "CN3" are the casting manufacturers batch codes. The different codes simply mean they were
made at different times - that is quite normal.
If you can tell/show me what the guide pins look like (there are two attached to the caliper body) I can tell you how the carriers should be
re-fitted.

the pins or the bits the guide pins go through? I can't see any difference between them on either side / either caliper..
any pics I have taken are on my gallery from about
here
if those are just batch numbers, do you know if there's any difference between the carriers on either side?
if there's no difference I can put them back together again no problem, I just don't know if one needs to go with one caliper and not the
other.. I have visions of putting it all together, bleeding the brakes then finding the piston fouls the carrier or something.

Ok. Checked the assembly drawing and there is NO DIFFERENCE between LH and RH rear caliper carriers.
You can re-assemble them in any combination.
I ask about the guide pins because some calipers have one plain pin and one with a rubber sleeve on the end (farthest from the bolt that attaches the
pin to the caliper body). These have to be re-assembled in a specific order.
