Brake master cylinder questions

For my midi, is am planning to use the original Fiesta Mk4 master cylinder. However, the reservoir is a 'push on' type and for space reasons, I want to fit a remote one. Is there an easy way to do this? If not, the brake pressure reducers screw into the master cylinder - is there an easy master cylinder to use that takes a remote reservoir and accepts these screw in valves? Thirdly(!) if all else fails and I end up with an old Polo master cylinder, do these take remote reservoirs and what is the best reducer to use? (Disks on back)

Sorry for the complex multiple question - I hope there is a simple answer not involving too much money!

have to say, i've got no real knowledge of the fiesta cylinders, or push on fittings and stuff, but....

why not get the willwood/girling type master cylinder. you get internal or remote reseviors, with screw in fittings, plus tried and tested in racing... you don't need to try and source bits from all over and try to work all kinds of bits out.
wilwood are one of the best, and pretty cheap too IMO

if your pressure reducers don't fit straight into the cylinder (i forget what size thread they are 3/8" i think...) then an adapter could easily be made i think with some flexi pipe and the correct fittings.

The rally design tandem cylinder is 1" bore --- running without a servo even Desperate Dan would be strong enough to stop a car with that bore cylindr unless the pedat ration was at least 8 to 1.


Fiesta MK4 master cylinders on non ABS models are 22.7 mm bore that is 0.87", on ABS models the cylinder bore is 0.9".

Running without a servo ideally you want a cylinder of 0.7" or 0.7" bore.

However I know of not suitable off the shelf tandem dual circuit master cylinder of this size with remote resevoir , the nearest is the Skoda Estelle master cylinder which is a 22.2mm (0.87" bore --- you would need long pedals

The Skoda cylinder is about 1/4 the price of the rally design cylindr.
