You need to lever out the horn in the center of the wheel....
A big screwdriver and a hammer will do if you dont want to re-use the wheel....
Then undo the big nut and remove the washer....
Hit the wheel from behind with a hammer/brick to pop it off the taper...
Jobs a goodun!

AND make sure that the key is in the ignition so that the steering lock is dis engaged as that also locks into the back of the steering wheel.
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

If you are sitting in the drivers seat and pulling on the steering wheel, leave the nut on a couple of turns so when it does pop off you dont hit
yourself in the face with it.
Putting you knees under the bottom and pulling on the top, move it side to side a little, 9/10 you wont have to hit it.

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but its sinking, Racing around to come up behind you again, the sun is the same in a relative way but
your older, shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Don't throw it away - ppl in here sometimes ask for the OEM wheel for SVA purposes.
