Sierra Master Cylinder
Do any of you guys know the best/cheapest place to obtain a new Sierra Master Cylinder? Also, is there an alternative reservoir which can be used with
the Sierra cylinder which is a bit more suitable for the application without mounting one remotely?

there is a place on-line - you would need to search the archive as it escapes my mind.
also there are at least 2 different types. I got my replacement from Allparts.

Hi phil
Martini car parts who frequent most if not all the kit shows usually have a stock of sierra m/c's, they sell out pretty quick at the shows at
£20 for new old stock if i remember right.
Could be worth giving them a call

there are 2 types Phil and there is a difference in the mounting and size of the hole gutout in the bulkhead so try to get like for like if u can to
save u some work. Paul had a replacement cylinder thats when we found the difference

Having had a look around, I reckon there may even be three different types. The one we're after is the Bendix type (the one with the front
outlet pointing upwards)

Phil i think you might be lucky as the bendix type with 2 outlets front (one pointing up) and one on bottom/side for rear i found to be the common
one.
Seen a few variations, bore size should be on side.
I've seen the 4 outlet type with the second rear used as a brake light pressure switch.

Cheers Bob. Tried Martini car parts but unfortunately they have no Sierra Master Cylinders at present. Anyone else know of any more suppliers I could
try?

The bendix version was in the CVH sierra so easy to find, just under £52 without the VAT.

Cheers Bob. Ours is the Bendix model with the front outlet pointing upwards which is £93.41 + VAT + Delivery. Ouch

If you want a level resevoir rather than angled look at some of the 1980s/90s VW golf range ---- you might find one that fits straight on the
Siera cylinder (depends on cylinder manufacturerer) Golf masters are very cheap from Euro Parts but they come without resevoirs
Euro parts aren't very popular in the trade just now because they bough and closed LSUK
