ebay prob advise

before i contact paypal/ebay ect,i would like some advise.

basically i bought two mondeo keys remote & blade one on the 11th oct and the other 17th

the first one seems to be lost in post, seller has no more to replace it,and says he has no money to give my refund.

he would have to claim via royal mail then give me my money back sounds a bit of to me whats my next step, bearing in mind a locksmith is going to charge me £50.00 to code the keys so i wamt them done together if you know what i mean.

this was the last email i got from the guy

I SENT THE 2ND ONE RECORDED DELIVERY SO YOU WILL RECEIVE THE 2ND KEY.
THAT WAS MY LAST KEY THAT I HAVE HOLD OF AND I HAVENT GOT ENOUGH MONEY TO REFUND YOU AT THE MO.

If you paid through Paypal, just claim it as "unreceived", the seller will be asked to provide proof that the item has been received (with a recorded signature) when he can't, Paypal will refund you.

That old nugget of "lost in the post" really f$!ks me off!

In all my lif I've never had anything go walkabout wth the Royal Mail (OK, so I appreciate it can happen).

Basically, kick up as much stink (in a polite way) so that eBay and PayPal have enough message/e-mail based evidence.

Then, as previously described, inform PayPal the items never arrived. Job should be a goodun.

With any luck, the chances are he's done it to other people too, a pattern will emerge, an he'll get his selling rights revoked.

I blimin' well hate eBay for all the sh!t it gives me at the moment, but the trouble is it's so damn handy for buying and selling.
