servo vacuum hose
Hi everyone, just failed my SVA retest on servo vacuum hose. Does anyone know where i can get marked 6-7mm servo hose for the sierra servo i am
using? I'm well angry as SVA tester found loads of new things on re-test and wouldnt budge!idiot.

i was under the impression if the vehicle was re tested within 6 months only the failed aspects would be re-examined???
hence why the restest fee is about 1/5 cost of full test.
sounds like hes taking the p**s to me

edit: as for vacumn hose, CBS provide fuel hose with a receipt for SVA. they would probably do same for vacumn if you requested.

Hi Will
I know I was so angry, had to walk away from him- what a knob! i felt totally cornered cus he was offering his manager to talk and i was saying he
will clearly back you up and i will be black listed. They love the control eh? When it has been passed I will write a formal letter of complaint. not
sure about fuel hose they are being really anal about this cus i had fuel hose before and he reckoned cus of the woven part then air can get
inbetween. i cant find it anywhere marked at 7mm.

Bl**dy Hell! Sounds like Gillingham at the moment.
I have only just got my Robin Hood through after 2 retests - a different tester each time and different faults each time.
I was told that it simply isn't the case that they only look at the failure items on a retest (despite someone else being told exactly that at
the same station only a week before).
For the vacuum hose, have you tried Partco?

i get the impression Mr (or Mrs) sva inspector is trying to justify their own existence.
that annoys the hell outta me
silicon vacumn hose
6mm should be fine, might find a mug of hot water helps.
All the best

Hi Will
6mm silicone hose is what I have and that isnt good enough for VOSA, to be fair i emailed the guy and he said that he couldnt recommend its use
either. So I am still looking. Think automotuive sell it but not stamped and will not provide a covering letter. this is beginning to look hard! Still
on a brighter note- the heat shiled was a failure point so I will just remove it!
