Does anyone know if a 2 wheel drive saphire cosworth sump will fit onto a 2.0 pinto. somebody said to me that they are the same 205 block is this right.

rs alloy sump fits im not sure if the saphire one is the same i think so.

never done it but the block is certainly the same, not sure on the oil pump (pickup pipe is attached to it) but I would guess it is also the same?

What thickness plate have people used to reconstruct the sump when chopping the 2.0 pinto one?

90% sure I went with 18 gauge. Don't think I went as thick as 16.

is that about 1.6mm ish?

16 gauge is 1.6mm
18 gauge is 1.2mm

I just went with a thickness similar to what was there already so as to make it easy to weld.
