This maybe a simple answer, but ive been reading about the dashboards,a lot of people mention a dash radius?
what does this mean?
what needs to have a radius?

The bottom edge of the dash, where your legs might contact, especially in an accident, needs to be a minimum of 19mm.

What do you mean by a minium of 19mm?
sorry for being a bit dull on this?

19mm radius i believe

It means that the bottom edge of the dash has to be curved and the radius of that curve must be no less than 19mm.

Roughly the same as a broom handle.

Not a broom handle unless yours is 38mm across. 19mm radiuus not diameter!

You can see the radius on the bottom edge of the dash blank HERE

or 5mm if made from firm rubber or similar material if that makes things easier

You can buy GRP SVA dashes for as little as 10 pounds over there if you look around, and as little as 89 pounds for a CF one. Seems to be a good cost/benefit to me!
