Would this be any good for padding in a set of fibreglass seats?

That is what I am using. I've cut out headrests but not glued anything yet. Looks good blue on orange. It's so cheap it's worth a try.
Certainly it would be comfy and it’s a good price but as it doesn’t breathe and that its in a plastic seat you might end up getting a bit sweaty if
you covered all the seat with it. Maybe several pads would be best rather than covering every inch.

5 seasons? - I guess the fifth season is 'warm enough to not freeze to death in my locost' season.
just ordered it, going to be fun cutting it to fit

That would be just the ticket. I wouldn't worry about sweating. You could always put the padding just in strategic pressure places do allow some airflow. But I wouldn't bother. My kirkey seats are close fitting thick nylon and that sure doesn't breath...
